Rita Seabra Brito is the Program Director of the International Annual Meetings in Political Studies/Estoril Political Forum of IEP-UCP. She holds a MA in Political Science (with a thesis on The Free and Virtuous Society in the Thought of John Paul II”) and was a Visiting Student, Oxford University (St. Antony’s College), within the IEP-UCP interchange programme and a scholarship from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She is Associated Researcher of the CIEP and since 2010, she is the Teaching Assistant of Professor Manuel Braga da Cruz in the BA Seminars Political Systems and Political Regimes, as well as Political Parties.  In 2006, she attended the one month seminar Tertio Millennio Seminar on the Free Society organized by the Ethics and Public Policy Center, in Krakow, Poland. BA in Sociology (FCSH-Universidade NOVA de Lisboa), her main research fields are political regimes, political systems and, in particular, political parties. She is married and has two daughters.
