Honorary OBE - Order of the British Empire - to Professor João Carlos Espada
On 10 May, Professor João Carlos Espada, Director of the Institute for Political Studies of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was presented the Honorary OBE (Honorary Officer of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in recognition of services to UK/Portugal bilateral relations.
The Order of the British Empire is awarded for distinguished service worthy of recognition by the Crown.
The ceremony took place at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Lisbon, HE Christopher Sainty.
