Os Encontros Anuais Internacionais de Estudos Políticos (Estoril Political Forum) reúnem anualmente, desde 1993, académicos, estudantes, políticos, empresários, líderes de opinião e jornalistas num debate aberto sobre ciência política e relações internacionais.
Este fórum internacional é reconhecido como um programa de excelência que dá aos estudantes e participantes a oportunidade de aprenderem e contactarem com alguns dos mais prestigiados especialistas da área e os integra numa grande rede de contactos internacionais.
O Estoril Political Forum é considerado único em termos nacionais e é já uma referência em termos internacionais, sobretudo nos círculos anglo-americanos.
Os Encontros Internacionais destinam-se a todos os alunos de licenciatura, mestrado e doutoramento do IEP (regime de créditos) e a todos os interessados nos temas da Ciência Política e das Relações Internacionais.
Ao longo das edições passaram pelos cursos de verão do IEP mais de 6800 participantes e oradores.

Sempre deixámos claro o nosso apego ao entendimento clássico da ideia de Universidade como um lugar de aprendizagem – como Michael Oakeshott, outro dos nossos grandes mentores, costumava dizer. Isso significa a compreensão de uma Universidade como um lugar de busca da Verdade, do Bem e do Belo – e não um lugar de propaganda. Isto traduz-se na defesa severa da liberdade de expressão e a recusa severa do tribalismo e do colectivismo. Isso também significa a participação numa conversa civilizada e pluralista contínua e a recusa da guerra ideológica entre “dicotomias infelizes”, como Ralf Dahrendorf, outro dos nossos grandes mentores, costumava dizer."
