Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins is Former Minister of Finance and Education; Member of the Board, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, SC, IEP-UCP, Lisbon.

Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins, born on 1952, has a Master Degree in Juridical and Economic Science (Universidade de Lisboa). He is currently President of the National Centre for Culture, Trustee of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and University Professor at the Universidade Lusíada and at Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.

He is also a Correspondent member of the Portuguese Academy of Sciences, Member of the Portuguese Naval Academy and Member of merit of the Portuguese Academy of History. Mr. Oliveira Martins has held several ministerial positions and is a member of several international and national institutions. He is also author of several books and was awarded several insignias.
