This is an annual programme. It is a three-day international academic conference (in residence), with around fifty foreign participants. Each year has its own generic theme in the area of ​​Political Science and International Relations. International academics with different points of view on the subject under analysis participate in different panels together with Portuguese academics. IEP students, along with numerous international students, are encouraged to participate in the debate that follows the interventions on each panel. One session is entirely dedicated to a debate between students, with two rival teams and active audience participation, in the tradition of Oxford Union debates.
