Eugénia Gambôa is married, with two children. She has a degree in International Relations (Universidade Lusíada), M.A, and PhD in Political Science (Institute for Political Studies, Universidade Católica Portuguesa). Expertise in public policy political analyses. She is a researcher and Professor at the Institute for Political Studies at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2005- ) and at Universidade Católica da Beira in Mozambique (2010- ); Coordinator for the B.A studies in International Relations and Political Science (2000-2011); and advance program manager (2002- 2011). Co-author of the Politicas Públicas e Família (Principia: Lisboa, 2000), she published several articles at Nova Cidadania, and was a columnist in the newspaper I from 2008 to 2009. Between 2010-2011 she was regularly invited to media participations as a political analyst. She was deputy and political advisor to the Minister of Education and Science of Portugal (2011-2015), and presently she works at the Portuguese Parliament as political adviser for the Social Democratic Party in the fields of education and science.
