The 28th Edition of the Estoril Political Forum has taken place on October 19-22, 2020 – this edition was held in an entirely online format. 

This edition of the Estoril Political Forum counted with the presence and intervention of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and of José Manuel Durão Barroso, former President of the European Commission and former Prime Minister of Portugal; HE the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Lisbon, Christopher Sainty; HE the Ambassador of France in Lisbon, Florence Mangin; HE the Ambassador of Portugal in Prague, Luís de Almeida Sampaio; HE the Ambassador of Italy in Lisbon, Carlo Formosa; HE the Ambassador of Spain in Lisbon, Marta Betanzos Roig; HE the Ambassador of Germany in Lisbon, Martin Ney; and HE the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque.

Carl Gershman, President and founder of the National Endowment for Democracy, based in Washington DC, Lord Moore, authorised biographer of Margaret Thatcher and former editor of The Spectator, The Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph,  and Wilhelm Hofmeister, Director for Spain and Portugal of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, also gave us the pleasure and privilege of their participation.

The event was also attended by 113 distinguished speakers - 46 national and 67 international.

In this atypical year, we registered 720 registrationsThank you for your presence!
