Wednesday, March 5, 2025 - 09:53

Between 19 and 21 February 2025, a group of 16 Masters and PhD students took part in the 12th IEP Seminar - ‘Policy Making at EU Level’, in Brussels. The initiative provided an immersive experience in the workings of NATO and the European institutions, as well as privileged contact with decision-makers and experts in European and international politics.

The programme included visits to NATO, the Portuguese Permanent Representation to the European Union (REPER), the European Commission and the European Parliament, with debate sessions on topics such as security and geopolitics, the EU's economic competitiveness and various other current European challenges.

The students had the opportunity to interact directly with diplomats, MEPs and journalists, enriching their understanding of the political decision-making process at European level.

In addition to the institutional sessions, the participants visited the House of European History and had several moments of socialising and networking. The experience proved to be extremely enriching, with a very positive overall assessment from the students and organisers.
