The Institute of Political Studies of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is proud to have organised the 2nd edition of the Winter School in Political Theory, which took place on 30 and 31 January and 1 February at the Palácio das Galveias Library. Dedicated to the theme ‘Hannah Arendt - Life, Freedom and Revolution’, this initiative aimed to bring together IEP Master's and PhD students for an intensive programme of reading in political theory and discussion in various panels over three days.
The opening session of the IEP Winter School featured a lecture by Prof Viriato Soromenho Marques and was attended by more than 80 participants, including 35 IEP students. These students actively participated in the discussions on the meeting's central theme, thus demonstrating the great interest and relevance of the topic.
The Winter School reaffirmed itself as a significant milestone for the IEP academic community, providing a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and deepening knowledge.
The event was supported by Lisbon City Council.
