Sandra Carina Machado Guimarães. PhD in Psychology in 2016 at the University of Beira Interior, Master's degree in Psychology - School Psychology, in 2006, at the University of Minho and degree in Psychology, in 1999, at the University of Minho. She was a psychologist at the Psychological Consultation and Human Development Service at the University of Minho and at various public and private educational institutions, having supervised several curricular internships. She taught several courses at the School of Health at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto between 2001 and 2005, and in the Psychology of Education course at the University of Minho between 2001 and 2003. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Education at the University of Beira Interior and a lecturer on various courses at the same university: 1st Cycle in Psychology, 2nd Cycle in Clinical and Health Psychology, 3rd Cycle in Education, Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine, 2nd Cycle in Teaching (Portuguese and Spanish in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education; Physics and Chemistry in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, Philosophy in Secondary Education). She is a member of the Education and Psychology Research Centre at the University of Évora and a collaborating member of the LabCom-Communication and Arts Research Unit at the University of Beira Interior. She has published some book chapters and articles in specialised journals, supervised or co-supervised more than ten doctoral theses, and participated as a researcher in various projects, both funded and unfunded. She has organised and participated in various events. Her scientific, technological and artistic-cultural output favours: teaching and learning processes, motivational and emotional variables in Mental Health, self-regulation of learning, emotional regulation, inclusive education, environmental psychology and qualitative methodologies, among others. She has collaborated with the General Education Inspectorate as an External Expert in the External Evaluation of Schools and has been coordinating the Clinical and Health Psychology Internships at the University of Beira Interior since 2021.
