The Future of Peacebuilding

Offered in Lisbon, Portugal and taught in English, this interdisciplinary program blends conflict studies and peace research with international relations, politics and diplomacy to address today’s global challenges— conflict geographies, new wars, migration, climate change, inclusive institution building and sustainable justice.

We focus on how to transform conflicts in a world marked by growing complexity and rapid change into dialogue and concrete solution-finding introducing innovative approaches to foster just peace, blending theoretical knowledge with immersive activities, practical insights and skills. In addition, it explores the paths of conflict resolution through arts, literature, communication, interfaith dialogue and human rights advocacy.
