IEP Colloquia 2026 proposes an in-depth reflection on the challenges facing contemporary democracies in a context of geopolitical instability, growing conflict and declining trust in institutions. Beyond isolated or episodic crises, the conference examines political restlessness as a structural condition that simultaneously affects domestic politics and the international order.
The programme will be organised around thematic panels, consisting of individual paper presentations followed by discussion, fostering academic dialogue and critical debate.
The conference will also include a keynote speaker lecture and dedicated networking moments, encouraging the exchange of ideas and engagement among researchers from different fields and institutions.
