The Institute for Political Studies, in partnership with EuroDefense, will host the roundtable “Türkiye: European Security and Current Geopolitical Challenges” on 20 October 2026. The event aims to foster reflection and debate on Türkiye’s role in European security and the current geopolitical challenges facing Europe.

The opening session will feature Professor Mónica Dias, Director of IEP, and General Luís Valença Pinto, President of EuroDefense.

The panel will include: Olga Treve Kalshoven (IEP-Católica); Professor Ana Santos Pinto (NOVA FCSH); Germano Almeida (NOW Channel).

The discussion will be moderated by Professor Sónia Ribeiro, from the IEP Centre for European Studies. Closing remarks will be delivered by H.E. Haldun Koç, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye.
