The Double Degree in European Studies and Governance, Leadership and Democracy Studies is a programme divided between Lisbon and Kraków, which provides students with knowledge in the fields of European and European Union studies, democracy and governance.
This innovative academic exchange programme offers international seminars to broaden students’ perspectives on the topics in question. Students will have the opportunity to choose between mandatory and optional modules, enabling them to tailor the program to their research interests, and will benefit from supervision from both Universidade Católica and Jagiellonian University.
This programme is designed for students interested in deepening their knowledge on contemporary Europe, understood as a political, economic and social project, as well as the challenges of national and international governance, democratic transition and consolidation, and the demands placed on local and global leadership.
Diploma:
Successful completion of the two-year Double Degree programme will result in two degrees: an MA in European Studies (specialising in EU Studies) from Jagiellonian University and an MA in Governance, Leadership and Democracy Studies from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
