João Pereira Coutinho has a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the Institute of Political Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He has dedicated his research to the History of Modern Political Thought, in general, and to the History of Conservative Political Thought, in particular. He is the author of Conservadorismo [Conservatism] and Edmund Burke: A virtude da consistência [Edmund Burke: The virtue of consistency].
